Talks and Radio
I do talks for adults, teenagers and children that range from keynote lectures in front of several hundred to workshops for small groups. Whatever the audience and topic, I try to combine surprise, accessibility and humour.
I also do quite a lot of national and local radio, usually to talk about maths in everyday life, or about ways to make maths more engaging for adults and children. I've appeared numerous times on Radio 4's Today Programme, and have done several Radio 4 essays for You and Yours, Open Book and Broadcasting House. But I'm probably best known for appearances on More or Less, presented by Tim Harford - I've appeared on most series since the programme started in 2001.
