"JURASSIC PARK AND FRACTALS"
06 February 2013
Last week, Brady Haran brought his camera to my house and filmed three items for his Youtube channel Numberphile. The first of these went up on Youtube this week. It's an informal chat about my favourite fractal, the Dragon Curve, a great example of how mathematical beauty can emerge from something as mundane as repeatedly folding a strip of paper. I am staggered that in just two days, the video clocked up 100,000 views. Incidentally, the T-Rex that features in it is called Mary. Why do people always assume that a Tyrannosaurus is a bloke?
